Our Classes

Improv Comedy (4 Level Program)

• 101: Intro to Improv - 4 weeks - This introductory class covers the basics of improvisation technique to unlock creativity, improve your communication skills and strengthen your collaboration with others through play!

• 202: Short Form Performance - 6 weeks - Explore short form games and scenic improv games while learning the foundation of creating characters and storytelling. End of class showcase at the DCIS! (Completion of 101 or instructor approval required.)

• 303: Long Form Improv - 6 weeks - Explore scene structure and storytelling with long form improvisation. Continue to strengthen the foundations of character creation, playing the "game" of the scene, and new techniques to heighten the scene. (Completion of 202 or instructor approval required.)

• 404: Long Form Improv Performance - 6 weeks - Hone your skills and unleash your comedic genius with your ensemble! You'll learn long form structures to create your own unique improv show! End of class showcase at the DCIS (Completion of 303 or instructor approval required.)

Sketch Comedy Writing (2 Level Program)

• Sketch Comedy 1 - 6 weeks - From Pitch to Page, Chad Fogland instructs you how to write sketch comedy utilizing the skills he learned after 20 years of producing sketch comedy & from classes taken from established comedy theaters such as UCB,Second City, the Groundlings & others!

• Sketch Comedy 2 - 6 weeks - Now take it from Pitch to Page to Stage! Chad Fogland takes your Sketch Comedy skills to the next level with this class that advances your Sketch Writing as well as takes you through the process of producing an actual Sketch Comedy Show Production. This class features a Class Show!
